Small Groups

We have a number of small groups (commonly known as clusters) operating in the community and that have meetings a various times during the year. Each group is completely autonomous and shares with the rest of the community at the Connections meetings.

New Groups

Tarragindi

This group meets at Erin’s home in Tarragindi and has prayer, discussion and refreshments. This group meets on a Wednesday evening. This group has reached capacity.

North-West

This  group will be hosted by Kathi, Wayne and Lyn. It is for people in the Gap-Mitchelton-Hills-Samford-Albany Creek areas. It will concentrate on Faith and Discipleship, Pastoral Care, Social justice. First meeting 3rd Aug, 7.00 – 9.00pm at Ferny Hills. Bring something for a community meal. Sunnybank

This group meets together at Marg’s for a few drinks and pizza combined with laughter and talk. We are currently looking at and discussing a DVD interview with Sir LLoyd Geering.  This group has reached capacity.

Camp Hill

Meet at Jo’s home in Camp Hill for a cup of tea and discussion. Jo’s lot is talking about ‘Obedience or disobedience – what works best for church?’

Central

Mike is organising this group who are meeting at the new Micah premises Shop 6/7 162 Boundary Street, West End.  There is room for new people in this group. Contact Mike mike.spiller@hotmail.com

Northern Group

Mary leads a group that has an agape meal, discussion and refreshments. These folk meet on a Thursday evening. Email Mary maryd@people.net.au

Western Group

Brendan and Pat are looking after this new group. They last met on a Sunday at Brookfield but are pretty flexible at this stage. They have been having discussion, combined with a little food and drink. Getting to know each other better is important for them. brookfieldryans@gmail.com

Fairfield Group

Scripture/Bible study Group

A new cluster group is commencing at 80 Chatsworth Rd, Greenslopes, the home of John and Gwenneth Roberts, meeting on Monday March 7, 7pm to 9.30pm, and subsequent the first Mondays of the month.. A Bible Discussion Group, focusing on the Biblical text and its application to our daily lives, discussion for March 7 will focus on “How we approach the Bible”.

Clusters or small goups are an important part of us being St M’s in exile – help glue us together as community as well as being providing opportunities for enjoyable times.
