Why do we call ourselves Catholic?

As I look back at our story I think the importance of our catholic faith has been the fellowship it has given us. The friendships we have formed the communities we have belonged to. Maurice Whelan in a recent homily quoted Karen Armstrong, “I believe, I hold dear”. I too believe and I hold dear the idea of community coming together to worship and form bonds.
