In particular he spoke of how his commitment to social justice comes from his parents’ experiences of discrimination and exploitation and his own personal experiences of racism whilst growing up.

Maurice Whelan speaks about the American poet Emily Dickinson. He describes her poems as lyrical meditations. Emily writes "Beauty – be not caused – It is – Chase it, and it ceases – Chase it not, and it abides".

A central message of Jesus was that the Kingdom, Reign, presence of God, is close at hand it is very near to you. Actually all is sacred, all is divine. When we truly take this understanding on board it changes everything.

Narelle shares about how for the majority of her life she had defined her life by doing. She reflects on the saying “ If you are what you do then when you can’t then you aren’t. As she matures she has discovered a new way of Being and that it is ‘to notice’. It appeals to her doing nature. She is discovering the art of noticing. Imagine how different the world would be if we truly noticed what was really happening.

Lyndal speaks about how communication is the key to empowerment and sustainability, and how communication is a right which is the key to the rest of the rights of life in society. And that is why she is a speech therapist today.
