In this podcast, expert Brian McLaren discussed his book Faith after Doubt. McLaren challenges the idea of faith as a thing of certainty and he sees doubt as absolutely essential for faith.

Homelessness Awareness Week – Liturgy, August 1, 2021
Last year Micah projects celebrated 25 years of assisting homeless people in Brisbane. On the eve of Homeless Awareness Week Terry will be interviewing Karyn Walsh the CEO of Micah Projects. Karyn was recently recognised for all her great work with Micah by being recognised as a Queensland Great.

In our liturgy we will be listening to the homily that Fr Frank Brennan SJ gave at the start of NAIDOC week. Reflecting on the focus for the week of ‘Heal Country’ he states that “There’ll be no healing of the country, there’ll be no constitutional recognition, and there’ll be no truth telling unless more of us hear the same call that Jesus heard and that is, “The spirit came into me and made me stand up.”

This week we celebrate NAIDOC week. It is an opportunity for all Australians to come together to celebrate the rich history, diverse cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the oldest continuing cultures on the planet.
